Solo or congregation?
Choose Solo singer for one clear voice. Choose Congregation when several people sing together, including different octaves and harmonies.
Sing a changing melody for 10–20 seconds. A stable estimate can finish early; uncertain takes keep listening up to 20 seconds. Stand where the voices are clear and instruments are quieter. A single note or held chord cannot establish the song’s key.
VocalKey uses cookie-free Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate visits and section views. Microphone audio and detected notes are never sent to analytics. Listening pauses when you leave the app or hide the tab.
Group detection is experimental. Echo, loud instruments and singers drifting out of tune can make the result ambiguous. Check a possible key by ear, or use the manual override in Settings.
